At this time the iPhone does not support third party applications running in the background. While using the iPhone app Trackometer, receiving a phone call, text message or email will not disrupt operation. However if you answer the phone call, reply to the text message or read the email the app will stop recording your route and reset. We are hoping a future version of the iPhone operating system will make it easier to deal with these circumstances in a cleaner way.

I have an iPhone & I was excited when I found this app. But I soon discovered with my first run that if I receive a text, or email while the app is running it stops the running map app & doesn't save the info. I have no idea what my time or distance is. Is this something that can be fixed? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

@Jason Initial GPS acquisition is pretty inaccurate to begin with but gets there quickly if access to satellites is readily available. Some areas are better than others. The app is perhaps doing too good a job at correcting bad gps data. We are readying an update for the app that will address this.

The GPS doesn't seem to work no matter were I'm running. I'm extremely disappointed considering I downloaded a free app. that can track my run. How do I fix this?

I have recently downloaded this app but after multiple attempts I am still unable to upload my routes. It states that I am unable to connect to Runningmap.com. What's up?
