Trackometer update

I have just submitted an update (version 1.2) of the RunningMap Trackometer app for the iPhone. It will take a week or so for Apple to take a look at it and approve or disapprove it. They can be pretty sticky about things.

Whats new? Here’s the list:

  • routes can be viewed on a map
  • improved waypoint creation filters
  • improved GPS status feedback
  • added setting for waypoint resolution
  • moved settings to iPhone settings area
  • application will now launch regardless of data connectivity
  • additional bug fixes

More to come in the future. Thanks for your support!

Members of the Droid army (Android device users) will be pleased to read this: the Android version of Trackometer is well into development and it’s looking good!

To delete a route In the Trackometer iPhone app, go to the Routes list and swipe your finger across the item you want to delete. A delete button will appear.

I created an account online about a month ago. How do I sync up my online account with the app for iPhone. The app asks you to create a new account rather than login. When I tried entering my pre existing login info I get a “this username already exists” message. What should I do?

You don’t have to create a new account. Just use the same username and password in the app. You can only sync your routes one directions at this time: from the app to the website.

I would like to see a way to print out a route from the map. Being in the military we need to provide road march recon maps to our higher ups this app would be sweet if I could do that!

I accidentally published a route with my address and want to remove it using my computer, how do I remove the route from the website?

If you were signed into your account when you saved the route, you will find the route under “My Account” -> “show my routes”. Select the route and then click the public/private toggle or click “delete selected route”. If you were not signed in, send us an email at support@runningmap.com along with the route ID and we will take care of it for you.
